What review actually happens before content on this site is published — and what it does not replace.
This page explains how content on Ava Fit Care is researched, written, and reviewed before it’s published — and what that review does and doesn’t mean. We cover health, fitness, nutrition, skincare, beauty, and wellness, and because health-adjacent topics carry real consequences, we think you’re owed a plain explanation of our process.
Every article follows the same basic steps: we research the topic using current, reliable sources; make sure we actually understand it; write it in plain language; fact-check the specific claims before publishing; and revisit it later as guidance changes. This applies whether the topic is a workout routine, a skincare ingredient, or a nutrition basic.
We only label an article “medically reviewed” or “expert reviewed” when a qualified, named professional — for example a registered dietitian, a licensed skincare professional, or a certified trainer — has actually read and signed off on that specific piece. If an article doesn’t carry that label, it was researched and fact-checked by our editorial team using reputable sources, but it has not been reviewed by a credentialed professional in that field. We won’t claim otherwise.
As Ava Fit Care grows, we intend to bring in qualified reviewers for specialized topics — nutrition content reviewed by a registered dietitian, skincare content reviewed by a licensed skincare professional, and similar. Any reviewer credited on this site is someone who actually reviewed that content; we don’t add names for decoration, and we don’t invent credentials. Reviewer bios and credentials will be added here as those relationships are in place.
None of this makes our content a substitute for professional care. We don’t diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and nothing here should be treated as personalized medical, dietary, or dermatological advice. If you have a specific health question, that’s a conversation for a doctor, registered dietitian, dermatologist, or other licensed professional who knows your situation.
Health, fitness, and skincare information changes as new research comes out. When we learn that something we’ve published is outdated, incomplete, or wrong, we update or correct it — that’s a normal part of running this site, not an exception. If you spot something that needs a second look, we want to hear about it.
